How we handle your information.

What we collect when you use this website, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have.

Who we are

This website, dataproducts.io, is operated by Data Products LLC, 200 E Randolph Street, Suite 5100, Chicago, IL 60601, United States ("Data Products", "we", "us").

For any privacy question or request, use the contact page or email sales@dataproducts.io.

What we collect

We collect information in three ways.

Information you give us

  • Contact form. Your name, work email, company, role, the topic and stage you select, your message, and, for staffing requests, the role, technology stack, start date, duration and time zone you enter.
  • Assessment reports. If you ask for an assessment report by email, we receive your email address and your dimension scores so we can send it. Your individual answers are scored in your browser and are not transmitted to us.
  • Newsletter and event sign-ups, where you choose to give us your details.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device information such as pages viewed, the page that referred you, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, collected through the analytics and marketing tools described in our Cookie Policy.
  • Campaign context. When you arrive from one of our links, the contact form records which page and link you came from and any campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) so we know which content was useful.

Information used for security

To keep spam and abuse out of our forms, submissions are checked by an anti-spam service, which processes your IP address, email address and the content of the submission.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry, arrange a call and provide the services you ask about.
  • To send assessment reports, newsletters or invitations you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it.
  • To measure which content and campaigns lead to conversations.
  • To protect the site and our forms from spam, fraud and abuse.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the answers you give in our free assessments to profile you; they never leave your browser.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the website and our business, under contracts that limit their use of it:

  • Website hosting and our content management system, where form submissions are stored.
  • Email delivery services that send our replies, reports and notifications.
  • Customer relationship management and marketing tools (HubSpot).
  • Analytics and advertising measurement tools (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, Meta, Hotjar).
  • Anti-spam protection (CleanTalk).

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and contact information for as long as we have a business relationship or a legitimate reason to follow up, and then delete or anonymise it. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of each tool. We keep information longer only where the law requires it.

Your choices and rights

  • Cookies. You can decline non-essential cookies in the banner shown on your first visit, and block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
  • Marketing email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Access, correction and deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of certain uses, including "sharing" for targeted advertising. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

International visitors

We are based in the United States and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law of your country requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections to this website and restricted access to stored submissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

This website is intended for business users. It is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
